BusPlus BRT - New Station Construction

CDTA is excited to announce that construction is starting on the stations for our next BusPlus route - the Purple Line. Our new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route will expand the BusPlus network to 14 stations along the Washington and Western Avenue Corridors from Downtown Albany to Crossgates Mall.

Did you know BRT provides more frequent service and reduced travel times with features like Transit Signal Priority (TSP) and modern shelters with USB chargers? New amenities include station heaters, benches, and LED lights that use solar power. The BusPlus stations also have snowmelt systems along with enhanced customer safety and comfort features.
