Construction Complete at Liberty Square and Manning Blvd Mobility Hubs

CDTA is proud to announce the completion of the Liberty Square and Manning Blvd mobility hubs, two upgraded transit centers designed to bring comfortable and modern public transit to the Capital Region. Mobility hubs have been recently constructed throughout the region to improve the transit experience for CDTA customers, serving to support multimodal options, connect travelers, and reduce dependence of single occupancy vehicles. The new Liberty Square and Manning Blvd mobility hubs bring pedestrian safety upgrades and sustainable enhancements to the environment, such as new lighting, upgraded landscaping, bike-share stations, and more.

Located in South Troy along 4th Street and Hill Street, CDTA and the City of Troy have expanded the Liberty Square station into an upgraded mobility hub. Serving the Little Italy neighborhood in Troy, the Liberty Square Mobility Hub features a new bus shelter with connecting points for CDTA’s multimodal options, including a new bike-share station to support the CDPHP Cycle! Bike share program as well as an EV car share pickup area for CDTA’s DRIVE! zero-emission car share program.

CDTA has also completed construction of the Manning Blvd Mobility Hub in partnership with the City of Albany. Located on South Manning Blvd, the new mobility hub brings comfortable and convenient multimodal transit to visitors and employees of St. Peter's Hospital, a member of CDTA's popular Universal Access Program.

This program facilitates partnerships with notable organizations, schools, and hospitals to improve access to multimodal transit options and encourage greater use of CDTA’s transit network. The program offers unlimited ridership for all St. Peter’s employees, which helps ensure consistent and reliable trips to and from the hospital free of charge. The new Manning Blvd Mobility Hub will encourage employees and visitors of St. Peter’s to ride CDTA by providing an enhanced experience with connecting points to CDTA’s bike share program as well as upgraded pedestrian facilities.
